West Coast Workforce are currently looking for a Construction Maintenance Supervisor for a 2/1 roster FIFO from Perth working on BHP maintenance contracts in Newman.
JOB INFORMATION
- ROLE: SUPERVISOR
- START DATE: ASAP
- LOCATION: NEWMAN
- PAY RATE: $70 HOUR FLAT + SUPER ALL HOURS + LSL
- HOURS: 12 HOUR DAYS
- SWING: 2/1 ROSTER (FIFO FROM PERTH)
- DURATION: ONGOING (6 MONTHS +)
- ACCOM: CAMP ACCOMODATION + FLIGHTS + MEALS
- WORK: NEWMAN TOWNSHIP REFURBS & BHP REFURBS
- TICKETS REQ: CARPENTRY TRADE CERT, WHITE CARD & WA DRIVERS LICENCE
About the role:
We are seeking expression of interest for supervisors at our Newman site that will be responsible for organisation and supervision of a new project we have commencing under our housing maintenance contract, works will involve supervision of carport, patio & shed construction on residential properties, and completion of refurbishment works on residential properties throughout the Newman Township, you will also be required to complete all related duties safely and to quality and time specification and standards, and assist in other areas as required.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Organisation of all materials needed for properties.
- Organisation of up to 30 trades incl. Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing & Painters.
- Scoping and quoting works.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with other supervisors & team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation of tasks.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and take responsibility for the safety of themselves and others around them.
- Completion of daily work sheets, project schedules & rosters, updating project tracking spreadsheets & scope of works.
- Submission and organisation of any building permits to the relevant authority.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify and report faults and defects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Commitment to safety and ability to follow all relevant policies and procedures.
- Ability to pass a full medical, and ongoing random D&A Testing
- Ability to complete all relevant inductions prior to mobilisation
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Supervisor Modules (BSBLDR411, RIIBEF402D, RIICOM301E, RIIRIS301E)
- Working at Heights
- MUST be proficient in Microsoft office
Highly Desirable:
- Supervise Asbestos Removal Ticket (CPCCDE4008)
- Remove Non-Friable Asbestos Ticket (CPCCDE3014)
- Trade Certificate
- Trade certificate in Carpentry
