Job Description

About Us

St Bart’s is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation founded in 1963 as a small homeless shelter for men. For nearly 60 years, we have been standing by the side of vulnerable Western Australians experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness, mental health challenges, trauma and hardship. Since our foundation, we have evolved into a larger organisation that provides progressive, person-centred and trauma-informed recovery support to people in need, regardless of background, age, gender or ethnicity.

We provide safe, supported accommodation and services to people who need it the most. Each year, we stand by the side of more than 500 of Western Australia’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people, supporting them on their recovery journeys and empowering them to achieve their goals.

We value our people – employees, volunteers, partners and stakeholders – and appreciate the meaningful contributions they make in the lives of our consumers.

About the role

Our Strategy & Business Planning Coordinator is a stand-alone role responsible for driving a business partnering culture. This role is crucial in delivering the business plan, establishing progress reports, and managing cross functional projects.

This role manages and develops business planning activities including the end-to-end business planning cycle and integrating business plans across St Bart’s to build a strong planning culture and facilitate the delivery of an achievable and measurable corporate plan.

About you

Our ideal candidate is driven and compassionate and has demonstrated experience in a similar role, such as business planning, project management, strategy, or business improvement. Managing business plans should form a key part of your skill set.

The role works independently, so this must be something you are willing to do, as well as a love for managing projects. You will succeed in this role if you are practical, and results orientated.

While your skills and experience are important to us, your values and attitudes are crucial to your success at St Bart’s. We are looking for a candidate who is compassionate and whose values align with St Bart’s – Empowerment, Innovation, Commitment, Collaboration and Social Justice. We are looking for someone who can help us create and maintain a workplace that fosters inclusion, diversity and a commitment to excellence.

The successful candidate must have or be willing to obtain a satisfactory current National Police Clearance.

Why join St Bart’s?

In addition to joining a professional and dedicated team with passion and a commitment to our values and making a difference within the community, the benefits of working with us are:

  • Up to three days additional flexible leave days per year

  • Salary Packaging up to $15,900, which allows you to pay for personal expenses with pre-tax earnings so you pay less tax and your take home pay increases.

  • Corporate discounts and memberships

  • Four weeks annual leave with the opportunity to purchase additional leave

How to Apply

We want to know about you – why you want to work with us and how your skills, qualifications and experience align with the position requirements.

To apply, please submit your current resume and a cover letter that demonstrates your suitability for the position.
